LOŽA GALLERY, KOPER
Marko Brecelj (1951─2022) was a poet, singer-songwriter, musician, youth and social worker and a pioneer of Slovenian performance art. He was the founder of soft terrorism as a genre of artistic activism, living his personal art form without distinction, both privately and publicly. In the past 50 years, he strongly marked the cultural space of the former Yugoslavia, as his cult personality steadily changed opinion patterns even beyond the borders of the Slovenian Republic. In the Loža Gallery in Koper, we will open an exhibition dedicated to his formidable personality, his work and life at the end of May.
MEDUZA GALLERY, KOPER
Meduza Gallery, located on one of the liveliest streets in the centre of the city of Koper, has been an important centre of artistic events, a meeting point of ideas and fresh initiatives for more than 50 years. We are pleased to announce that the Municipality of Koper supported the PCG initiatives for another imperative renovation of this exhibition space, which was partially renovated in 2002. The renovation of electrical installations, including lighting, which has already begun, is expected to last until June of this year. During this time, the exhibition space will be closed for visitors.
