Creative workshop

At the Panorama. Selection From the Art Fund of the Piran Coastal Galleries exhibition, we present some important artists and their works, which are kept in the Piran Coastal Galleries’ collections. In order to make the exhibition as inclusive as possible for visitors, we have transformed the ground floor of the Piran City Gallery into a creative laboratory.

The starting point for your creative process are the exhibited works created in various art techniques typical of the art of the second half of the 20th century. After visiting the exhibition, all visitors, especially the young ones and the youngest, are invited to participate with their existing artistic knowledge and fresh ideas. You can reinterpret the exhibited works or freely create your own in the technique that impressed you the most at the exhibition.

A great starting challenge could be, for example, the painting The Beach (1966), by the painter and graphic artist Augusto Černigoj, or the Wrapped Reichstag project (1971–1995), realized by the world-renowned artistic couple Christo and Jeanne-Claude.

Glue it, wrap it, spray it or simply draw it!

The art product is yours to take, but you can leave it on display on the ground floor of the gallery.
