Forma viva is an open-air sculpture park on the green peninsula of Seča, Portorož, where the international biennial sculpture symposium takes place. It was founded in 1961, modelled after the St. Margarethen symposium of 1959, in Austria. The Slovene symposium was created by two local sculptors, Jakob Savinšek and Janez Lenassi. The collection today boasts more than 130 artworks, and the majority of them sits on a wonderful grassy park, crowded by centennial cypresses, olive trees and fig trees, and with a mesmerizing panoramic view on the sea. The remaining sculptures are distributed in the other towns of Slovene Istria
