Ex-tempore Piran, one of the most important traditional art events in Slovenian Istria, was successfully concluded. 246 participants applied to the event and 210 works of art were submitted. The international expert jury (Eda Čufer, Slovenia; Igor Eškinja, Croatia; Daniele Capra, Italy) selected 54 works of art for the exhibition and awarded the main of the 17 purchase prizes.
This year’s edition the 58th International painting ex-tempore introduces some innovations: raising the amount of the first prize, Grand Prix, to €4,000, and the presentation of all the selected and awarded works in one place, in the Monfort Gallery in Portorož. The closing ceremony with the awarding of the prizes and the convivial evening also took place in the Monfort complex, where in the Wooden Hall we created a particularly suggestive atmosphere for all the guests, awardees and sponsors.
