The renovated building facing the sea dates back to the period between the 19th and the 20th century and was originally a tailor’s shop. The gallery opened in 1999 and preserves more than 150 paintings, drawings and prints of Istrian landscapes that the local artist Herman Pečarič (1908-1981) bequeathed to the municipality of Piran. The first Eoor hosts a selection of his artworks,whereas the ground floor is dedicated to temporary exhibitions and cultural events.
