- 11:00–12:30 – “Stone Sculptures and the Role of Forma viva in the 21st Century”:
Public discussion with Giorgio Andreotta Calò, Ištvan Huzjan, and Max Seibald, Forma viva Sculpture Park, Linder (in case of bad weather at Burja Center).
This year’s edition of the symposium addresses current topics such as the art-historical issue of copies versus originals, memory as a socio-political tool for unconditional protection of the public good, the removal of artworks from public spaces, misguided interventions in cultural heritage, and the distinction between public and private interest. On an institutional level, the project also raises the question of how to protect art in public spaces and what role Forma viva should play in the 21st century.
- 16:30–18:00 – Forma viva Sculpture Park, Seča near Portorož (Forma viva Bar) – “Living with Forma viva”:
Gathering with residents and Forma viva enthusiasts.
Everyone is cordially invited to an informal gathering with local residents and art lovers, aimed at creating a space for open dialogue and informal exchange of ideas to improve the Forma viva environment, co-shape the future of the park, and strengthen the sense of belonging and care for public space – together with the team of Piran Coastal Galleries.
