FINISSAGE: DANCE PERFORMANCE |

Forma viva Sculpture Park,
Seča near Portorož

As part of the closing of Forma viva, on Saturday, 11 October 2025, following the presentation of the new sculpture by Giorgio Andreotta Calò, at 2:00 PM there will be a dance and music performance Silent Pulse (20 min) with dancer Evin Hadžialjević and percussionist Boris Magdalenc (Linder, Forma viva Sculpture Park).

About the artist:
Evin Hadžialjević (1986) graduated with honors in 2008 from the three-year BA(Hons) Dance Theatre program, Laban, London. In 2014, she completed pedagogical-andragogical training at the Faculty of Education in Koper, and in 2018 she earned a Master’s degree in Movement Arts at AGRFT in Ljubljana. She is a certified lecturer at the University of Ljubljana, where she teaches movement techniques and skills. Active in the performing arts since 2010 as a self-employed cultural worker, she creates her own projects and performances and collaborates with national and international choreographers. She was also a member of the international ensemble En Knap Group (EKG) and worked extensively with Mateja Bučar and American choreographer Jonah Bokaer in the performance Other Myths, which toured Europe and the USA.

About the performance Silent Pulse:

  • Concept and choreography: Evin Hadžialjević
  • Music: Boris Magdalenc

When something that once was no longer exists, a crack or defined void emerges or remains. As Leonard Cohen said, “There is a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in."

In this dance event, Evin Hadžialjević draws a parallel with the central theme of this edition of Forma viva – the issue of removing artworks from public spaces. The performance emphasizes transience, taking place in a specific time frame and ceasing to exist at the end of the event. Yet, its resonance remains in memory as a silent pulse, continuing to echo even after the performance concludes.
