WORKSHOP FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS

We are happy to invite you to take part in the workshop My Mosaic, which will be held on Wednesday, the 4th of August 2021 at the Civic Gallery of Piran. The workshop will be part of the didactic activities dedicated to the solo show of Mira Ličen, Lux et Vox.
During the workshop, everyone will realize his mosaic, and each participant will take the handwork home as a souvenir of the activity. The event will be carried out by Mira Ličen herself, protagonist of the exhibition on display and renowned artist and art restorer, with the help of some assistants. The workshop will be divided into two parts: the first will take place at 17:00 and will be dedicated to children, the second will start at 19:00 and will be focused on adults. Each of the two activities has a maximum capacity of 10 people; for this reason, it is required a reservation.
The workshop is completely free.

Mira Ličen (1950), is an estimated and versatile artist and art restorer of the littoral, famous for her artistic expression and winner of numerous prizes and awards. Very few Slovene artists of the contemporary art scene can compete with Mira’s multifaceted and heterogeneous artworks. Her paintings and glass sculptures (realized through the fusion technique) encompass her artistic production of the last ten years and are presented in a magnificent retrospective at the Civic Gallery of Piran.
