Architect and sculptor Marjetica Potrč (Ljubljana, 1953), who held a big solo exhibition at the Piran Civic Gallery last year, has received the highest state award of the Republic of Slovenia. The artist is receiving the Medal of Honour for her achievements in the fields of art, anthropology and ecology spanning over several decades, as well as for being included among the ten most important contemporary artists in the world, thus contributing to the promotion and recognition of Slovenia in the world. The prestigious award initiative was also actively supported by the Piran Coastal Galleries, which offer their sincere congratulations to the artist.
