At the Piran Coastal Galleries, we are preparing a major retrospective exhibition by the internationally acclaimed European artist Bernhard Rüdiger entitled Failed Again (The Seventh Trumpet), which will be presented at the Piran Civic Gallery.
The exhibition will present the development of Rüdiger’s artistic journey over the past decades through numerous works: sculptures, installations, drawings, paintings, sound projections, film, and other artworks. Visitors will be able to view a selection of key works from the oeuvre of this internationally established artist, whose artistic expression was shaped through dialogue with the social, political, and historical upheavals of the period 1985–2025, which also represented the most intense creative period of the artist’s life. Bernhard Rüdiger’s artworks are not merely visual objects, but interventions involving sound, vibrations, and the bodily experience of the visitor.
During the art workshop, children will create plant motifs in watercolor inspired by the works of Bernhard Rüdiger, in which weeds and plants carry a special meaning. They will explore a special watercolor technique through layering colors and shapes to create a sense of depth, delicacy, and interweaving plant forms. At the same time, they will develop their creativity, observation of nature, and artistic expression. After visiting the exhibition at the Piran Civic Gallery, the workshops will take place at the Galerija Herman Pečarič in Piran.
