It was founded in 1961, modelled after the St. Margarethen symposium of 1959, in Austria. The Slovene symposium was created by two local sculptors, Jakob Savin\u0161ek and Janez Lenassi. The collection today boasts more than 130 artworks, and the majority of them sits on a wonderful grassy park, crowded by centennial cypresses, olive trees and fig trees, and with a mesmerizing panoramic view on the sea.
