The prize is\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, \" segoe=\"\" ui\",=\"\" roboto,=\"\" oxygen-sans,=\"\" ubuntu,=\"\" cantarell,=\"\" \"helvetica=\"\" neue\",=\"\" sans-serif;\"=\"\">awarded by the Coastal Galleries Piran.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: inherit; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, \" segoe=\"\" ui\",=\"\" roboto,=\"\" oxygen-sans,=\"\" ubuntu,=\"\" cantarell,=\"\" \"helvetica=\"\" neue\",=\"\" sans-serif;\"=\"\">The winners are often young artists at the beginning of their artistic career or students acquiring formal knowledge at one of the national or foreign art academies. Regardless of their status, the award offers a unique opportunity to enter the so-called contemporary art system, which is composed of various actors, each of which plays a specific role, in this case the artist-creator of the artwork, the gallery, and the jury of art critics, acting as mediators between the artists and the public.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Last year&#039;s winner of the Youth Award was Lev Ambro\u017e Okorn (Ljubljana, 2003).
