The internationally acclaimed Slovenian guitarist, composer, and producer <\/span>Primo\u017e Suki\u010d<\/strong> returns to <\/span>Piran<\/strong> with a new series of compositions for <\/span>electric guitar and electronics<\/strong>, titled <\/span>The Infinite Possibilities of the String<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at 8:00 PM<\/strong>, at the Herman Pe\u010dari\u010d Gallery<\/strong> in Piran, Suki\u010d will present his musical research, which invites us to explore the expanded sonic capabilities of the string, drawing inspiration from physical properties, mathematical ratios, and philosophical concepts of infinity.<\/p>\n

This series of compositions is based on the exploration of acoustic phenomena, which Suki\u010d enhances through the use of electronic effects such as ring modulation, pitch shifting, and computer-generated sine tones. The soundscape he creates moves between experimental minimalism<\/strong> and philosophical reflection<\/strong> on infinity, unity, and nothingness\u2014concepts inspired by the thinking of Cantor<\/strong> and ancient Greek philosophers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Primo\u017e Suki\u010d graduated from the Academy of Music in Ljubljana<\/strong>, continued his studies at the Akademie f\u00fcr Tonkunst<\/strong> in Darmstadt, and earned his Master\u2019s degree from HoGent<\/strong> in Belgium, specializing in contemporary music literature. He currently lives in Los Angeles<\/strong>, where he is completing a PhD in composition<\/strong> at the California Institute of the Arts (CalArts)<\/strong> under the mentorship of Michael Pisaro-Liu<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As a performer and composer, he collaborates with renowned international contemporary music ensembles, including Ictus (Belgium), PlusMinus (London), Replicant<\/strong>, and the Third Guy<\/strong> duo. His works have been released by Zavod Sploh, Roam Releases, Inexhaustible Editions<\/strong>, and Migro Records<\/strong>. He regularly appears at festivals and universities across Europe, South America, and the United States, including USP S\u00e3o Paulo, Academy of Music Ljubljana, Reid University Edinburgh, Goldsmiths and Guildhall London, UFRGS Porto Alegre<\/strong>, and CalArts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Primo\u017e Suki\u010d is a long-time artistic collaborator of the Coastal Galleries of Piran<\/strong>, to which he gladly returns with solo projects and international artistic collaborations. His creative output lies at the intersection of acoustic experimentation, philosophical inquiry, and creative improvisation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
