Ex-tempore Piran, the most open art event of the Piran Coastal Galleries, recognised for its competitive character, was successfully concluded. 238 participants applied to the event and 177 works of art were submitted. The international expert jury (Dragana Sapanjo\u0161<\/strong>, Croatia; Matteo Bertel<\/strong>\u00e9<\/strong>, Italy; Gani Llalloshi<\/strong>, Slovenia) selected 67 works of art for the exhibition in the Piran Civic Gallery (awarded works) and in the Wooden Hall Monfort in Portoro\u017e and awarded the main of the 18 purchase prizes.<\/p>\n

G<\/strong>RAND PRIX<\/strong><\/p>\n

PIRAN COASTAL GALLERIES, received by CVETO VIDOVI\u0106<\/strong> (SLO) for the painting entitled \u00bbSuztuk Pieknych im Jana Matejki\u00ab.<\/p>\n

Explanation:<\/p>\n

The work is a pictorial transposition of an ephemeral human presence, created with considerable technical expertise. The austere composition, marked by the seriality of the subject, reveals itself to the eye in a disconcerting coldness, which leaves free space for the interpretation of the place itself, an aseptic, almost monochromatic environment. The ambiguity of the subject is reflected in the title, in Polish, which reveals the homage to Jan Matejko, a 19th-century painter originally from Krakow.<\/p>\n

The subject of the painting reveals itself in its contemporaneity as a portrait of the new generations caught carrying out a now ancient activity. \u00bbFull Throttle\u00ab suggests to us how fast our everyday life is in being at a standstill. The work is fresh and reveals the young age of the artist<\/p>\n

Explanation:<\/p>\n

The painting presents itself as a critique of the idea of \u200b\u200bhappiness, which should be pursued at any cost. It is a daring portrait of the new monsters of today’s society, taken from the words used by today’s poets who shape our new world.<\/p>\n
