EX-TEMPORE PIRAN 2024<\/em> IS APPROACHING<\/b><\/p>\n

Ex-tempore Piran <\/span><\/i>is an art manifestation of the Piran Coastal Galleries, which is the most open to the public. It is recognizable by its competitive character and long tradition. Along with a rich accompanying program for all generations, the exhibition Ex-tempore Piran 2024 will be held at two locations this year, in <\/span>the Piran Civic Gallery <\/b>and <\/span>the Wooden Hall of the Monfort complex in Portorose<\/b>.<\/span><\/p>\n

An international expert jury consisting of <\/span>Dragana Sapanjo\u0161<\/b>, visual artist (HR), <\/span>Matteo Bertel\u00e9<\/b>, Associate Professor in Contemporary Art History and deputy director of the Center of Studies of Russian Art at Ca’ Foscari University in Venice (IT) and <\/span>Gani Llalloshi<\/b>, Master of Visual Arts, painter and curator (SI), will make a selection of paintings for the exhibition at both galleries and will award a series of appealing prizes, among which <\/span>the Young Author Prize<\/b> and <\/span>the Grand Prix<\/b> stand out.<\/span><\/p>\n

The opening of the exhibition of <\/span>Tara Rubini\u0107<\/b>, last year’s recipient of <\/span>the Young Author Prize<\/b>, will take place <\/span>on Friday, August 30, at 7:30 p.m.,<\/b> at <\/span>the Herman Pe\u010dari\u010d Gallery<\/b>, thereby marking the beginning of the program of this year’s edition of Ex-tempore Piran.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ex-tempore Piran 2024<\/i><\/b> will be concluded with the award ceremony <\/span>on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 8:30 p.m., on Tartini Square<\/b> (next to the Piran Civic Gallery).

EXHIBITIONS ON VIEW AT OUR GALLERIES<\/b><\/p>\n

Until and including August 18<\/b>, three exhibitions are on view at our exhibition spaces in Piran: the thematic group exhibition <\/span>For Your Pleasure<\/b> at the Piran Civic Gallery, a solo exhibition by <\/span>Vasko Vidmar<\/b> at the Herman Pe\u010dari\u010d Gallery and an exhibition by the American artist <\/span>Brad Downey<\/b> at the Monfort Gallery in Portorose. The exhibition dedicated to <\/span>Marko Brecelj<\/b> at the Lo\u017ea Gallery in Koper will be open to the public <\/span>until September 15<\/b>.<\/span>

CREATIVE WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN<\/b><\/p>\n

In the month of August, two free workshops will be held at the Herman Pe\u010dari\u010d Gallery: <\/span>on Friday, August 2<\/b> (making animal motifs in the collage technique) with <\/span>Vasko Vidmar<\/b>, and <\/span>on Saturday, August 17<\/b> (creating GIF animations) <\/span>with the artist Veru\u0161<\/b> Villang\u00f3<\/b>.
