LOCATION AND TIME<\/strong><\/p>\n

Honest architecture<\/strong>
We live in a time of rapid technological development, globalisation, mutual interdependence, and great unpredictability. Architecture, which is inextricably tied to current social developments, is facing questions related to addressing the problems of the pandemic, economic crashes, environmental change, global effects of the war, etc. At the same time, social networks and digitalisation are blurring the boundaries between the real and the virtual: we may enter an architecture and evaluate it at the touch of a button.<\/p>\n

New digital tools are radically transforming also the ways in which architecture is designed, often by means of generic processes and presentations \u2013 “thinking hand\" vs. “thinking computer\". All of the above brings to the forefront the issue of the authenticity of good architecture and the understanding thereof. How, in this complex society, is architecture to remain honest in its narrativity, material expression, context, purpose, and the interpretation of historical layers? What is the honesty of architecture which is independent of politics, capital, or global trends? Can the honesty of architecture be reflected already in the design process, through the candidness of the architect's thought and their world view? Honestly on architecture.<\/p>\n

A special bus will run from the station in front of the\u00a0Monfort\u00a0<\/strong>exhibition hall<\/a>\u00a0to Piran on Saturday evening, November 26, presumably between 22:00 and 22:30.<\/p>\n
