Piran Civic Gallery\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n Until 24th August, the Piran Civic Gallery in is hosting the first major solo exhibition of acclaimed Slovenian photographer Primo\u017e Bizjak, who lives and works abroad. Bizjak\u2019s work centers on the ever-changing landscapes of nature and urban environments, often depicting abandoned spaces rich with past resonance, unique architecture, or striking natural perspectives. This unique exhibition titled The Grey World is Blue and Green, was conceptualized and curated by renowned artist I\u0161tvan I\u0161t Huzjan and offers an overview of Bizjak\u2019s work from 2004 to 2020. The selection of works engages in a dialogue with the poem The Whole World is Like by Sre\u010dko Kosovel (Integrali \u201926) and includes the series: Venice (2005\u20132006), Sarajevo (2004\u20132006), Apuan Alps (2014\u20132017), and Munich Zoo (2017\u20132020). This exhibition is supported by the Ministry of Culture (Republic of Slovenia), Piran Municipality and the City of Koper, organized in collaboration with Gregor Podnar Gallery, Vienna.<\/p>\n More information available at the link\u2026<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Monfort Gallery Portoro\u017e & Lo\u017ea Gallery Koper<\/strong><\/p>\n Until 24 August, a compelling dual-venue exhibition titled Intruders, Uninvited into Chaos by established Slovenian visual artist Andrej \u0160kufca is on view in Portoro\u017e and Koper. This large-scale spatial installation explores the architectural, typological, and socio-political tension between two contrasting settings: the expansive former salt warehouse on the Portoro\u017e coast and the Venetian Gothic palace in Koper\u2019s main square. \u0160kufca\u2019s speculative installations function less as objects and more as immersive landscapes, evoking memories of once-inhabited human environments. The project also features contributions from Austrian artists Katrin Euller (sound intervention) and Miriam Stoney (poetry). The exhibition is curated by Laura Amann, a Vienna-based curator and architect. Organized in collaboration with: MG+MSUM Ljubljana, Projekt Atol Institute Ljubljana, New J\u00f6rg Gallery (Vienna), Ravnikar Gallery (Ljubljana), and Kucca (Zagreb).<\/p>\n More information available at the link\u2026<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Monfort warehouse Portoro\u017e<\/strong><\/p>\n From 10 to 15 July, the FUGA Festival will take place in the Monfort warehouse, aspiring to become an international platform for emerging artists and students from across disciplines\u2014theatre, film, music, and visual arts. The festival follows a five-year strategic plan deployed by the director of the festival, Ivan Loboda, introducing a new artistic discipline each year. In 2025, a dedicated Visual Arts Department was founded in collaboration with the Piran Coastal Galleries. Five international visual arts students will work with a mentor during the festival. The programme will conclude with a group exhibition, opening on 14 July 2025 at 8:00 PM on view until 10 August 2025.<\/p>\n More information available at the lin \u2026<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Meduza Gallery Koper<\/strong><\/p>\n Until 19 September, Meduza Gallery in Koper presents a joint solo exhibition by Vesna Bukovec and Ana \u010cigon, titled Work in Progress. Deceptive Working Time. This is the third phase of the long-term artistic and curatorial research project Work in Progress, developed collectively by Vesna Bukovec, Tia \u010ci\u010dek, and Ana \u010cigon. The current exhibition focuses on the concept of working hours and their changing forms, offering insight into contemporary working conditions. The research also envisions future alternatives where well-being and interpersonal connection are prioritized over profit-driven growth. As a development-oriented participatory project, visitors are invited to share their own experiences with modern forms of work by writing them on selected illustrations. Before the exhibition concludes, a public discussion will be organized on this ever-relevant and pressing topic.<\/p>\n
